Brief
To completely redesign both the ICTU websites (.ie and Northern Ireland) to help make them both easier to use and more visually appealing.
The new sites needed a completely new information architecture and content revision.
Client
The Irish Congress of Trade Unions is the largest civil society organisation on the island of Ireland, representing and campaigning on behalf of some 800,000 working people.
There are currently 44 unions affiliated to Congress, north and south of the border.
Solution
As the sites are content heavy and featured many different content types, the powerful Drupal CMS was the obvious choice.
A consistent approach to navigation was introduced, with older content being revised or removed as necessary. A modern and clean design was created that ensures effective display in all devices, from smartphones to high resolution displays.
A clean and modern design
One of the priorities was a new, clean and modern graphic design, which has been created to ensure the site is easier to use on mobiles and tablets, but also expands and displays more effectively on larger screens.
